Week of 2/8/2023
This week we will be starting a brand new series called "Sexual Discipleship"! We are going to talk about the original design, purpose, and boundaries of sexual relationships that God created and what that means for our relationships today. We will discuss how humanity distorted and perverted that original and perfect design through sin and how that has impacted every relationship we have today. We will talk about the dangers of pornography and how God helps us to overcome that temptation and addiction. We will wrap up the series on February 15 by talking about understanding and responding to toxic relationships and how we can help ourselves and others when we see these patterns in their lives.
This week we will be discussing how we can recognize, begin to understand, and respond to toxic relationships. Jesus has called us to live in relationship with others, but because of sin, sometimes those relationships don't reflect Jesus the way that they should. It is important that we know what a toxic relationship is, how to respond, and how to help ourselves or others get out of one.
Some ways that you can connect with you student this week is to ask them why the think relationships are important. You can also ask what the Bible has to say about relationships and what God's plan, purpose, and boundaries are for relationships.
